Crop Scouting Competition for Iowa Youth 2013
The Iowa State University Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program, with support from the Iowa Soybean Association and Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., is pleased to bring you the Crop Scouting Competition for Iowa Youth 2013. High school students from across Iowa are invited to compete and showcase their scouting abilities in corn and soybean on August 1 at the Iowa State University Extension Farm. The competition will be a one day event with both indoor and outdoor components.

Integrated Pest Management Curriculum
There a number of resources that can be used to help prepare students for the upcoming 2013 Crop Scouting Competition. One of these resources, a 14-part IPM curriculum covering a variety of topics, can be downloaded below. Each presentation is available in both PDF and PowerPoint formats and includes notes.
These educational materials are for use in high school or post-secondary agricultural classrooms, or anywhere there is a need for such materials including at home or on the farm. Please feel free to modify the PowerPoint presentations as you see fit for your classroom.
Other resources include five Iowa State University Field Guides and a Scouting Fields learning module.
