Weeds and Wetness

The week of June 13 was a bit cooler than usual, and was accompanied by more scattered showers. Although crops are growing pretty well in most areas, fields where the weather has prevented field activity are developing significant weed problems.

As plants grow, they become tougher to control, and may exceed label coverage with several postemergence herbicides. Producers should watch closely, read labels for coverage, and be especially careful with drift.
