New Turfgrass Reference Books

An emphasis is placed on cultural management tips. The book covers all cool and warm season grasses. It includes full-color photographs and detailed drawings.

This is another in the series of handbooks being developed by the Entomological Society of America. The handbook is designed to accommodate a broad field of users, including lawn care operators, superintendents, grounds maintenance personnel, sod producers, consultants, students, extension agents and researchers. The handbook provides basic information on turfgrass insect and mite pests, with details on identification, life history and management options. There is a general section on turfgrass management and pest management, and a glossary and index. This handbook was assembled with contributions from over 30 specialists from throughout the U.S.
