Special Issue Welcome to a special issue of the Horticulture and Home Pest Newsletter. This issue is devoted to the beginning home gardener. Here we have assembled in one place the basic information you will need to start a home garden for fun, for relaxation, or to stretch your food budget. We will cover the most common vegetable crops, how to plant, care for, harvest and use them. We also provide a brief overview of common insect pests and plant diseases, focusing on how to avoid problems, and how to reduce dependence on pesticides to grow acceptable numbers and quality of home vegetables. Enjoy.
