The following announcement is being forwarded at the request of the Farm Bureau Communications Resources Director, Barbar Lykins.
The America the Beautiful Fund out of Washington, D.C., has 6 pallets of 5-50 pound bags of sweet corn and green bean seed for distribution to farmers and gardeners in Iowa who were affected by the flooding and whose gardens/fields were too wet to plant earlier this year. The seed was donated to them by the Harris Seed Company. I am not sure what varieties are available. If you know of anyone or any group who could use this seed, please contact Katie Rehwaldt as soon as possible:
