Spring field days scheduled

Six spring and summer field days are planned at Iowa State University research and demonstration farms throughout Iowa.

The field day programs focus on results of current research conducted at the farms, including performance of newly introduced resistant varieties and management strategies. Researchers are scheduled to give seminars on various topics, and the farm superintendents will provide a crop and weather update.

All field days will take place rain or shine. Due to the weather and other factors, program details are subject to change. The programs are free and open to the public; no registration is required.

ISU operates 12 research and demonstration farms across the state and a number of them in central Iowa to assess the influence of soil differences and climate on agricultural practices. The research also provides clues to the potential of new crops and practices that may diversify the agricultural base.
