Gray leaf spot ratings available
|
A new tool is now available to help corn producers select hybrids for areas affected by gray leaf spot. A new publication, 1996 Iowa Corn Yield Test Gray Leaf Spot Ratings, Pm-660-GLS-96, contains gray leaf spot severity ratings for corn hybrids entered in the corn yield test for Districts 5, 6, and 7 (southern and east-central Iowa). This work was made possible through cooperation of Iowa State University Extension and the Iowa Crop Improvement Association. For more information on gray leaf spot, see another ISU Extension publication, Corn Gray Leaf Spot, IPM-49. All publications are available from county extension offices or ISU Extension Distribution, 119 Printing and Publications Bldg., Iowa State University, Ames, IA 50011; phone: 515-294-5247; fax: 515-294-2945; or by electronic mail: pubdist@exnet.iastate.edu Single copy cost for Pm-660-GLS-96 is 75 cents.
