New soybean disease fact sheets

Two new soybean disease fact sheets are now available. A newly revised version of Soybean Brown Stem Rot, Pm-890, has six color figures that will help in disease diagnosis. It also has updated management information and a new section on disease scouting. A new fact sheet, Soybean Bacterial Blight and Brown Spot, Pm-1662, has information on two of the most common soybean foliar diseases in Iowa. The two diseases often occur in the same fields, even the same plants, and their symptoms are difficult to tell apart. This fact sheet has five color pictures and information about diagnosis and management.

Copies are available at county ISU Extension offices or the ISU Extension Publication Distribution Center at 515-295-5247. Refer to the fact sheet's publication number (shown after the title) when ordering.
