Agribusiness personnel are invited to an open house at the Armstrong Research Farm 9 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, July 9. The event will feature a look at the farm's general herbicide plots, fertilizer and lime placement studies, and fields managed with global positioning and information systems. Time will be allowed for questions about these projects or other research underway at the farm. Continuing credits for soil fertility, pest management and crop production for certified crop advisors will be offered.
To get to the Armstrong Research Farm, travel on Highway 6 approximately 11 miles west of Atlantic (or 13 miles east of Oakland) to 525th Street, then go 1/2 mile south and 1/2 mile east. Contact any ISU county extension office for more information.
