New staff in Agribusiness Education

Richard Larson has been named coordinator of the Agribusiness Education Program. Richard started his duties on February 23, 1998, as an Extension Program Specialist and coordinator of the Agribusiness Education Program (AEP). Richard succeeds Elaine Hall who resigned in January for employment in the private sector.

Richard is a native of Indiana and earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Purdue University. He has more than 20 years experience in the hybrid seed corn industry and 2 years experience in the soybean industry. He is presently working on a M.B.A. degree at Iowa State University and is scheduled to finish this program in June 1998.

The AEP conducts a variety of educational programs for agribusiness clients. Programs include the summer diagnostic clinics at the Field Extension Education Laboratory, crop production and protection short courses, dealer updates, and the annual Integrated Crop Management Conference.
