Iowa State University (ISU) Extension has an immediate opening for a field crops specialist to serve eight counties in northwest Iowa (headquarters in Ida Grove). A minimum of a bachelors degree in a field related to crop production such as agronomy, crop science, soil science, entomology, plant pathology, weed or seed science, and five years of relevant experience required. A masters degree in a relevant field and three years of relevant experience preferred. A farm background preferred. A demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences is necessary.
