1999 summer field days

Eight field days and four specialty field days are planned for this summer at Iowa State University research and demonstration farms located throughout Iowa. Field days give farmers an opportunity to view the latest achievements and technologies in agriculture and to talk to the researchers involved in the experiments on these farms. Many farms also will have special displays that feature the research and outreach of George Washington Carver, an ISU alumnus known for his work in soil conservation and innovative uses of soybeans and peanuts.

Field days take place rain or shine. An overview of program topics and a brochure listing all field days and the locations of Iowa's research and demonstration farms can be obtained at http://www.ag.iastate.edu/farms/fielddays.html
