Kennicker named crop specialist for extension

Iowa State University (ISU) Extension to Agriculture and Natural Resources is pleased to announce that John Kennicker has accepted the position as ISU Extension field specialist-crops. John will work from the Story County Extension Office in the central Iowa area serving Boone, Greene, Jasper, Marshall, and Story counties. The position was formerly held by John Creswell, who was recently named coordinator of the new ISU Extension nutrient management education project (see related article in this issue).

John earned an M.S. degree in plant breeding and genetics from North Dakota State University and a B.S. in soil and crop science from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He has worked with hybrid wheat and corn research stations in Indiana and Wisconsin, and most recently served as ag extension program specialist for ISU Extension with an integrated crop management project for agricultural drainage well owners and users.
