The second of two special tours for ag professionals is scheduled for Friday July 21 at the Northeast Research Farm near Nashua from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Extension crops specialists and Ken Pecinovsky, farm superintendent, will host the tour. Topics for discussion include observations and experiences related to crop growth and development, soil fertility, and pest management problems as they develop across the area. The tour also will review the various research projects underway on the farm and discuss some of the new technologies that are or soon will be available. CCA continuing education credits have been requested.
The Northeast Research Farm is located 1 mile south and 1.5 miles west of Nashua. The program is free and preregistration is not required. Questions about the program should be directed to your county extension office or to me at 515-228-1453. Please extend this invitation to others who would find this tour of interest.
