Training session for commercial pesticide applicator exams

Commercial pesticide applicators now have the option of recertifying by exam or by attending a continuing instructional course each year. However, all commercial pesticide applicators not certified in 2001 must take the appropriate exams to become initially certified.

A training session designed to help prepare individuals for commercial pesticide applicator examinations will be held February 22 in Bettendorf at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1107 Tanglefoot Lane (corner of Utica Ridge Road and Tanglefoot Lane). Training will be offered on Iowa Core Manual (IC 445) and Categories 1A (CS 9, Agricultural Weed Management), 1B (CS 10, Agricultural Insect Control), 3O,T & G (CS 15, Ornamental, Turf, and Greenhouse Pest Management), and 6 (CS 18, Right-of-Way). This training session does NOT qualify as a continuing instructional course. There is a $15 registration fee for the exam training.
