Soil management clinic-August 28
This 1-day clinic provides 5.0 soil and water management continuing education units (CEUs) for certified crop advisers (CCAs). Topics include soil variability, yield maps, tillage and residue management, and soil and water conservation practices. Instructors are Mahdi Al-Kaisi, Tom Fenton, and Mark Hanna. Registration is $145 and enrollment is limited to 40.
Alfalfa clinic-September 3, 2003
An in-depth program focusing on alfalfa management. Topics include alfalfa growth and development, insect pests, fertility, management practices, and alfalfa diseases. This program is approved for the following CCA CEU credits: 0.5 nutrient management, 4.0 crop management, and 2.0 pest management. Instructors are Steve Barnhart, Jerry DeWitt, and Mark Carlton. Registration is $145 and enrollment is limited to 20 participants.
