2006 Winter Crop Schools
|
The 2006 Winter Crop Schools offer agribusiness professionals and producers in-depth training on a variety of topics. By focusing on a specific management topic, students have more time to fully understand the material presented. Class sizes are limited to allow more student-instructor interaction. Each course is also an excellent opportunity to receive Certified Crop Adviser credits. Credit amounts and categories are listed below for each class. This year marks the return of the Corn Production school, which has been expanded and includes guest speakers in addition to Iowa State University faculty and staff. A second change this year is that all Winter Crop Schools are being held on the Iowa State University campus. Many classes include tours of research facilities, laboratories, and hands-on activities. Dates and locations for each course are listed below. All participants must be preregistered--no walk-in registrations will be allowed. Registrations are due one week prior to the event. Registration is $170 for single-day courses and $270 for multiple-day courses. Registration includes meals, breaks, class notebook, and parking fees. Online registration with credit card is now open at http://www.aep.iastate.edu.
