Livestock and crop producers interested in managing manure nutrients on fields are encouraged to participate in an upcoming training session sponsored by Iowa State University (ISU) Extension in cooperation with the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association.

Prior to attending the workshop, each producer will identify one field, from which ISU Extension staff will develop a color, digitized Atlas GIS field map to be used at the workshop. Producers also must gather baseline data to bring to the workshop, including the most current soil test from all fields, manure test results, information about cropping plans, and the amount of manure available.

There is no cost for the workshop, however, preregistration is required. Registration forms are available at your county ISU Extension office.
