Special tours for ag professionals are scheduled for June 16 and July 21 at the Northeast Research Farm near Nashua from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Extension crops specialists and Ken Pecinovsky, farm superintendent, will host the tour. Topics for discussion include observations and experiences related to crop growth and development, soil fertility, and pest management problems as they develop across the area. The tour also will feature a review of research projects underway on the farm; and a discussion of new technologies that are or soon will be available. Certified crop adviser continuing education credits have been requested.
The Northeast Research Farm is located 1 mile south and 1.5 miles west of Nashua. The program is free and preregistration is not required.
