The weekly Degree Days map [1] shows base-50° F degree day accumulations that are kept throughout the growing season beginning May 1. For corn and soybeans planted earlier, use the table to find accumulations prior to April 15, April 20, and April 25 for your area. Adjust map values throughout the season according to planting date.
Degree day accumulations the last two weeks of April were approximately 80 percent of long-term averages statewide.
