Maya Hayslett is the Crop Science Youth Educational Specialist for Iowa State University. She designs and reviews curricula for youth in grades K-12 related to crop science and crop production, organizes statewide youth events related to agriculture, and assists extension specialists state-wide with crops related youth programs.
Maya Hayslett has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Iowa State University and a Master of Science in Plant Pathology with a minor in Entomology from the University of Minnesota. Prior to her position at Iowa State University Maya Hayslett held a position at the University of Wisconsin – Madison for 10 years as an Instructional Specialist in the Plant Pathology coordinating lab courses for the department, teaching lecture and lab courses, and developing and implementing course curriculum.
