Principles of Pruning - Included Bark

The principles of pruning is a video series from the Integrated Pest Management Program with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. This series will give you the knowledge and instruction to safely and expertly prune your shade trees. In this third video Dr. Jeff Iles (Iowa State University) gives an overview of how to deal with included bark on your shade tree and demonstrates steps you might need to take to remedy that, as well as care after you make the cut.

 

 

Drone Uses for Agriculture Roadshow

AMES, Iowa – Farmers and anyone within the agricultural industry who wants to know more about how drones can be used on their operation should consider attending the “Drone Uses for Agriculture Roadshow,” Aug. 13 at Iowa State University’s Field Extension Education Lab (FEEL).

These small, unmanned aircraft systems, most commonly called “drones,” give farmers a unique and efficient means of monitoring their operation from above.
