Iowa Pest Resistance Management Program

Iowa Pest Resistance Management Program logo
The idea behind the Iowa Pest Resistance Management Program (IPRMP) is to Protect Iowa Crops. This is an Iowa effort to increase collaboration and address pest issues--including weeds, insects and diseases--that threaten farm yields and profits. These pests change over time and can become resistant to chemical, genetic, and agronomic control practices. We must work together to preserve our management tools by rotating management methods from year to year and by being willing to try new pest management strategies that go beyond the use of pesticides.

Two local pilot projects have formed and are actively promoting pest resistance management. Learn more about their activities and join the effort!
